Vysioneer to Present Findings on AI-empowered Brain Tumor Auto-Contouring at ASTRO 2019
Vysioneer’s first featured product, VBrain, unveiled in September, empowering Radiation Oncologists to provide precision radiosurgery. VBrain, a deep learning-based system for brain tumor auto-contouring, can spot the three most common types of brain tumors, namely brain metastasis, meningioma, and acoustic neuroma, significantly facilitating and accelerating radiosurgery treatment planning workflow.
Partnered with National Taiwan University Hospital, Vysioneer has integrated VBrain seamlessly with the CyberKnife system for clinical testing such that radiation oncologists can collaborate with AI without changing any existing treatment planning procedures. VBrain serves as a second set of eyes and hands for tumor contouring. In less than a minute, all potential tumors can be identified, prioritized, and delineated. Clinicians only need to validate or fine tune AI’s results.
The accepted abstract highlights VBrain’s high performance on tumor auto-contouring with a high sensitivity (>95%) and a low false positive rate (~0.4/patient). It will be presented as an Oral Presentation at ASTRO Digital Health/Informatics sessions on September 17, 2:45pm-4:00pm. Vysioneer will also be hosting a booth exhibition during ASTRO, at booth #4332, providing live demo for you to get a guided tour of the features and functionality of VBrain solutions.
We are hoping to see you soon at ASTRO and provide you a full experience of VBrain!
